The Fair Family was the heart and driving force behind Country Paradise Park. Led by patriarch David E. Fair, the family shared a deep passion for music, community, and hard work. Originally from Ohio, the Fairs relocated to East Brady, Pennsylvania, in the early 1970s with a vision: to create a place where families could enjoy wholesome entertainment and world-class country music without leaving Western Pennsylvania.
Each member of the Fair Family contributed to the park’s creation and daily operations. David, known for his determination and entrepreneurial spirit, handled the heavy lifting—from securing the 193-acre property to overseeing construction of the park’s iconic all-steel concert building. His wife provided steadfast support, while their sons and other relatives played key roles in logistics, event planning, and even on-stage surprises that became legendary among fans.
Far more than just businesspeople, the Fairs were deeply involved in every detail—laying out drainage, setting up seating, booking acts, and making sure the experience felt personal and welcoming to guests. Their hands-on approach and family values created a unique atmosphere, where world-famous performers and small-town charm met in harmony.
Through good times and challenges, the Fair Family remained committed to their dream, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, memories, and music that still echoes in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to experience Country Paradise Park.
