Country Paradise Park

About us

Country Paradise Park located on State Route 268 in East Brady,

Pennsylvania was located on Route 268 approximately 12 miles north

of Kittanning, Pennsylvania in Armstrong County is geographically

situated in Western Pennsylvania 70 miles north of Pittsburgh,

Pennsylvania and 70 miles south of Erie, Pennsylvania.

Kittanning natives Dave, Don, and Roy Fair along with their wives,

Ruth, Ruby, and Wilda and nine children Helen, Shirley, Sue, Ed, Dave,

Rita, Dean, Den, and John built the country Western music-themed

campgrounds as a place for families to enjoy live country music on

weekends at rates low- and middle-income families could afford.

The Fair Family originally purchased a 193-acre parcel of land in

which the front approximately 35 acres was converted into the

country western music-themed park. Groundbreaking occurred on

April 10, 1973, and the park officially opened for business on July 28,

1973 with Bill Anderson performing as the inaugural show headliner.

Thereafter, from mid-May through mid-October Country Paradise Park

hosted Nashville headliners along with many local country western

music entertainers for two shows every Sunday. Additionally,

campers and local patrons enjoyed Friday night auctions, Saturday

night singing, square dancing and special camping events. A non-

denominational church service was offered every Sunday morning for

camping families.

The Fair Family sold the business in 1986. Operations and

family-oriented events continue at this site under new ownership and

the name Paradise Park PA.

This website is designed by Fair family members as a way to

preserve the memories for years to come. Please enjoy the history of

the original Country Paradise Park from one man’s dream (how it

began) through the years of entertainment on this website.

We, the Fair Family, wish to thank all of the patrons who over the

years joined us in making many memories…
